Spare parts for heavy vehicles, a new business line of Cautex

Among the 213 part numbers for trucks, stands out a wide assortment of hoses, expansion tanks and caps

February 23, 2021 – Cautex, european leading supplier of aftermarket spare parts in rubber and metal for the automotive sector, shows his determination to continue growing and expanding the offer to the customers, taking another step forward in the rubber and metal sector. That is why they present a new family of products: truck parts.

Cautex starts this new business line launching 213 part numbers for a long list of manufacturer brands: Astra, DAF, ERF, Irisbus, Iveco, John Deere, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Neoplan, Renault Trucks, Scania, Setra and Volvo. Models from different categories of trucks, buses, and even tractors are included.

In this release of Cautex, the 213 part numbers are divided into the following product families.

* Hoses for:

  • Radiator = 119 part numbers
  • Turbo = 26 part numbers
  • Heating = 14 part numbers
  • Steering = 6 part numbers
  • Oil = 11 part numbers

* Expansion tanks = 23 part numbers

* Caps = 13 part numbers

* Mudguard holding strap = 1 part number

This presentation comes with a pdf catalog with all his solutions for heavy vehicles, an activity sector that will continue to grow in the following months.

In Cautex they exhaustively control the entire process, from the design and development of the initial sample to serial production, and implement post-sale follow-up mechanisms to give a quick response to their customers

Quality is an essential requirement in all the processes and solutions. That is why they use the same composition of materials and production processes as in the original parts:

For cooling hoses, they use EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Rubber), which has great flexibility at low temperatures and good chemical resistance, which makes it a perfect material for transporting cooling liquid.

For turbo hoses, different types of rubbers are used:

  • AEM (Ethylene / Acrylic Elastomer): has good resistance to hot mineral oils, fluids and wear and tear.
  • FKM (Fluorocarbon): is resistant to high temperatures (max. 232ºC), so they are used as an internal layer.
  • VQM (Silicone): has excellent mechanical resistance and high temperatures (max. 225ºC).
  • FVQM (Fluorosilicone): offers resistance to fuel and mineral oil, ideal for providing a chemical reinforcement.

For expansion tanks, they are manufactured in PP (Polypropylene) in which between 5% and 30% of Ethylene is added to obtain an ethylene copolymer, and thus the tank can offer greater mechanical resistance than one with a conventional Polypropylene.

Cautex has invested 3.2% of its turnover in a new laboratory for the Quality Department, in which they carry out rigorous controls to which all their products are subjected, guaranteeing high reliability, equivalent to original equipment, but with more competitive cost.
